020: How to Optimize Your Inner Circle
In today's episode, I discuss three attributes I look for in individuals before welcoming them into my inner circle—those in whom I trust and confide in the most. And these attributes can be used as a measuring stick to evaluate the relationships in your life. Have you surrounded yourself with friends who uplift you or hold you back? It's a question worth asking. 018: Suicide Recovery & Prevention | with Brad Hearst
Suicide is a growing problem, especially amongst middle-aged fathers. This month, which is National Suicide Prevention Awareness Month, I wanted to dedicate an episode to this growing epidemic. Here are some shocking statistics: Every twelve minutes a life is lost to suicide Every day 117 people take their own life For every suicide, there are 25 attempted suicides There are nearly 43,000 suicides committed in our country each year Suicide is the 10th leading cause of death in the United States Men are 3.5 times more likely to commit suicide than women With numbers like these, this is an issue we cannot ignore and a conversation we must have. My guest today is Brad Hearst. He is the founder of Survivors Joining For Hope, an organization he founded to help those who have been impacted by suicide. Thanks for listening and share this important episode with friends, family, and coworkers! ___ BOOK GIVEAWAY: follow the show on Instagram (@theinspiredlegacy) for details on how to win!
