Synonyms for grief include: deep sorrow, anguish, pain agony and suffering. Faith is the opposite of all of those things. In fact, in some cases, grief can replace faith entirely … but it doesn’t have to. Katherine Barner, author of God Help Me, I’m Grieving, talks about the intersection of faith and grief. She knows these two distinct emotions aren’t mutually exclusive. Barner says that despite the paralyzing pain, healing is indeed possible.
