One of the things that I’ve been working on recently is the concept of what I call “thought loops.” Essentially, a thought loop is a thought error that tends to happen in our brain and is reminiscent of the Obsessive Compulsive Disorder but is something that we can easily control. Most people do not like to feel discomfort. The reason why we are not as far as we’d like to be with our goals – whether it’s weight-loss, quitting drinking, building a business – is because we have chosen not to be uncomfortable. Changing and doing new things is very uncomfortable. It is uncomfortable to risk rejection and experience failure.
