The 2018 Cannes Film Festival may be over, but the cold shoulder that the fest showed streaming giant Netflix this year is bound to be discussed for a long time to come -- so, we thought, why not jump into the fray? This week, Nick and Brian consider the Cannes/Netflix controversy over what is allowed to compete at the festival, which brings up a much larger issue: in the era of streaming films on mobile devices and the waning importance of theatrical film-viewing, how do we define a "movie"? The guys consider that question, and in the process, take a look at everything from the VHS era to film distribution to the (justly?) forgotten acting career of NFL QB/commentator Howie Long. Check it out, and weigh in on the discussion on Twitter (@LongTakePodcast) or on our Facebook page, facebook.com/TheLongTakePodcast... we'd love to hear your thoughts!
