Guy Macpherson has a doctorate in clinical psychology with a focus on trauma and early psychosis. In 2014, he founded The Trauma Therapist Project with the goals of raising awareness of trauma and creating an educational, supportive, and inspiring community for new trauma therapists. He also developed The Trauma Therapist 2.0, an online membership community dedicated to educating and inspiring new trauma workers. In this episode Paul and Guy dig deep into the definition of trauma, it's impact on the brain and the body, as well as providing some useful tips for anyone wanting to reach out. Episode Takeaways:

  • Understand that trauma is something inevitable in every person's life.
  • Every person has a different threshold — what is traumatic to one person may not have an impact on another.
  • The first step to healing is to admit that there's something wrong.
