So, believe it or not, some marketing company thought we'd be good to push a new Hitchcock Blu-ray collection, to that end they sent us some free copies of Psycho and asked us to tell you a little bit about the collection! Honestly, this collection sounds pretty fuckin cool! It includes four huge Hitchcock classics in 4K Ultra HD including Rear Window, Vertigo, The Birds and probably the coolest part, the original uncut version of Psycho that has NEVER been released before! Beyond that, it was just cool that they trusted us to push their product. Given that list of films, the only one we hadn't covered was The Birds, so that's what you get here! WE called in our major Hitchcock geek, Jack Thorne to both announce his return as King of #VHS4T1D and to tell us all kinds of super interesting stuff about the film from the cutting edge special effects techniques used in the film to the behind the scenes drama that kinda shows us the unfortunately gross side of Hitchcock. We discuss the genius and the humanness of Hitchcock, the brilliance of The Birds, from the amazing performances to the carefully calculated shots, lighting, colors, sound, and more!
