The Movie Crypt: Ep 156: Samara Weaving

Released Monday, 16th May 2016
Good episode? Give it some love!
Actress Samara Weaving (ASH VS EVIL DEAD) is one of Hollywood’s fastest rising stars with leading roles in upcoming films like McG’s THE BABYSITTER and Joe Lynch’s MAYHEM. Listen as she sits down with Adam, Joe, and Arwen to discuss her journey from a constantly traveling young girl with family in the business, to being pushed into the drama club with hopes of conquering her shyness, to becoming a working actress at only 14 years-old with roles on Australian TV shows like OUT OF THE BLUE and HOME AND AWAY, to her move to Los Angeles where she has rather quickly landed roles in high profile projects with some of today’s top talent. Including stories from working on set with Joe on MAYHEM, the pressures of bringing EVIL DEAD back to life on the small screen (had she seen the original films before accepting the part?), working with cockroaches (she's “not here to fuck spiders”), to doing auditions on tape/Skype… Samara is not only one to watch out for, she’s also someone who’s making things happen right now in today’s current and ever changing industry climate. The guys also give the first word on next week’s beauty pageant for “Ms. Movie Crypt”… where they’ll be competing against each other for the crown.
