About our featured speaker:
Lisa White Hardwick is President of the DEED Foundation, which owns and manages the 105-year-old Delta Athenaeum building. DEED was founded by the local chapter of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., the largest organization of African-America women with more than 250,000 members worldwide. Earlier this year, Lisa spoke to KC Oasis about the history of the Kansas City Women’s Athenaeum Club and their iconic Club House constructed during the suffrage movement in 1913. As Part II of this profile, Lisa will join us to discuss the parallel journey of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority and the DEED Foundation as active women of color in social, civic, and philanthropic causes.

Recorded at Kansas City Oasis on September 16, 2018.
