great first season so far

The first season is turning out to be amazing. I love that the host is approaching this story from a position of compassion and curiosity, not judgement.Update: Three years in, it feels like the host has lost the spark that made them want to do this podcast. The stories are kind of blending together, and Smith lays them out factually, but there isn't really a reason to listen anymore. I have unsubscribed.

Loved the first two seasons. I find people like Sherry Shriner repellant and fascinating.

I love true crime and I love to listen to ppl who discuss it. I suggest that you investigate the death of Kenyon Johnson in Valdosta, Ga. This high school student was found dead in a wrestling mat at the high school. The camera that would tell who the last person was at the location was ERASED! There were 2 boys who were questionable. They were wrestlers-championship wrestlers. There dad was a man of means in the town who had some political pull. This case is very sad, I believe those two wrestlers killed Kenyon or caused his death. I believe it was a hate crime because Kenyon was “feminine” and black.

Well researched, listenable delivery, compelling episodes.

A great on-going podcast about opportunity and people. The highlight of the show is how you can sometimes see normal people slowly turn given the right opportunity. However, the long ads in-between really hurt the show at some points.

It is a good podcast, well presented and professional sounding, but I just listened to an episode where there were 4 adverts just dropped throughout, in the middle of sentences. They should create a space for the adverts and put them all together otherwise I won't listen anymore.
