Welcome to The Simon Schmid Podcast. In todayās episode, Iām sharing something deeply personalāa poem I wrote about the art of letting go.
These very personal poems have been an incredible source of healing for me, helping me navigate moments of pain and transformation. My hope is that they can offer the same for youācomfort, clarity, or even the courage to let go.
Letting go can feel impossible at times. We clutch tightly to the stories of our past, replaying the āwhat ifsā and āwhys,ā as if holding on will somehow change the ending. But sometimes, the greatest act of loveāfor ourselves and othersāis learning to release.
This poem reflects that journeyāhow we carry the weight of our stories, how pain can become a strange kind of comfort, and how letting go isnāt about forgetting, but about finding freedom.
So, as I read this piece, I invite you to reflect on what you might be holding ontoāand whether itās time to turn the page.
Letās dive in.
