Is flatrate pricing the right solution for your business? In this podcast, we'll find out. Series: Flatrate Pricing. Friend, or Foe. Cohost: Steve Piper.

We've had loads of requests, from many of our listeners for us to create some specific content on flatrate pricing. We've touched on it in a handful of episodes, however we've not yet dedicated an entire episode, let alone an entire series.

If this episode interests you, chance are you'll enjoy the following episodes:

  • Episode 19. Pricing for profit with Matt from Cube Consulting
  • Episode 65. Knowing Your Hourly Rate, with Adrian From Trained To Sell
  • Episode 68. Charging For Quotes. Again with Adrian From Trained To Sell
  • Episode 84. More Trust equals more sales with Eve John

In this series I'm joined by Steve Piper, who formally owned a well known plumbing company called The Pied Plumber. Steve sold that business a number of years ago, when he decided to focus on further developing the quoting program they used so that other companies could benefit from it also. He and his wife Penny now run Plumbing Profits, where they teach plumbers how to implement the 'flatrate pricing' model into their businesses.

Episode 3 Does your business suit flatrate pricing?

This is the third and final episode of the 'Flatrate Pricing. Friend, or Foe' series that i've been conducting with my cohost Steve from Plumbing Profits. In the first episode, we spoke about some of the myths, in the second episode, we spoke about the pros and cons and in this episode we're going to do our best to ascertain whether, or not flatrate pricing is a fit for your business.

Steve is confident that if you're business offers an emergency, or maintenance style service, then there is a flatrate product that would likely suit your business.

It's not really a fit for companies that carry out project work, due largely to the payment on delivery style that the flatrate model delivers, however with that said, the principles are relatively similar, so I'm confident that there will be something in this podcast for everyone.
