Shows With Heart and Season Long Arcs
Wayne and Daryl talk Yoga Hosers, The Flash, Super Girl, Season Long Arcs and more.
Inaugural Episode
What is it about "spoilers" that riles up Wayne and Daryl? What movies have they seen lately? What TV have they seen lately?
Spoil The Thrones Doctor - Episode #23
Game of Thrones is back and you'd better believe we're gonna talk about it. Sure, Daryl doesn't watch it anymore but can Wayne get him to watch again? Plus, it's the end of the Doctor...Who...Season (They call it a series Daryl!) and we'll talk about it and the news in that front as well. Wayne also went and saw The Big Sick, so he gives us a synopsis and review of that as well. Strap in for this episode that is exactly 1 hour long.
Wonder Woman Wondersode - Episode #21
We are finally 21 and old enough to drink in the States. The movie Daryl has been waiting for all year is finally here. Was it as good as he hoped? Or, did he watch it 3 times to make sure it was bad? Who was spoiled by swerves in the movie and who saw them coming a mile away. What does our film expert Wayne think of some of the more cinematic aspects of the movie?
Guardians of the Galaxy Ultrasode - Episode #19
Guardians of the Galaxy Volume 2 is finally here. You may now depart the latest hype train with us as we talk about the latest from the Marvel Cinematic Universe. Heck, because a couple trailers dropped this week we also discussed The Defenders and Inhumans from Marvel as well. This movie started a conversation on Facebook with our Fake Podcast Nemesis, Glenn Bristol from the FilmWonk podcast. This led us to also hype something even bigger than an Ultrasode, but the Spiderman:Homecoming Epicsode will also feature Glenn in a podcast crossover like you've never heard before. Get ready.  Music by
2nd Spoiliversary
It's the 2nd anniversary of our very first episode back in August of 2016. But, rather than spend too much time on the hoopla, we thanked our fans and moved on to discussing Christopher Robin, The Spy Who Dumped Me. Also, Wayne started to warm up the hype train for the Marvel shows on Netflix.  Music by
The 2 Inspoilables
The Fantastic 4 movie we deserve is discussed as Wayne & Daryl discuss The Incredibles 2. Also on the 2-2 train was Luke Cage, Season 2. Seemingly stealth dropped, they've only seen the first couple of episodes but have a lot to say. Music by
Spoil Wars: The Last Spoiler (of 2017)
Everyone is talking about it. It's making beaucoup bucks at the box office. We talk this episode about Star Wars: The Last Jedi. This is a movie with quite the hype train going into it. Wayne and Daryl talk about how the hype as well as cinematic and story choices affected this movie. Did they like it? On a scale from 1-10, what do you think they gave it? Take a listen and find out.Other than Star Wars, Daryl got a chance to see an early screening of Jumanji:Welcome To The Jungle. He gives a review on that. Were there any connections between this and the original movie? Was it any good? Also, we did hype trains & hate tanks on previews we saw with Star Wars. We also did a modified HT&HT for what's coming out in 2018.
Good Omens for David Kirkman
David Kirkman, Director of Static Daryl has mentioned on occasion how he was a fan of Milestone comics. He's also mentioned the new short (45 mins!!) fan film of Static Shock titled "Static" that is based on the Dakota City character first created in the early 90's. Well this episode features his interview with the Director of that film, David Kirkman. That interview starts at about the 10 minute mark.Make sure to check out the Go Fund Me page for David Kirkman Productions. We gave him a donation because he is bringing important art to a community that doesn’t have a thriving film scene. Before the interview Daryl gives he review on the new show on Amazon Prime Video, "Good Omens." A mini-series based on the book of the same name by Terry Pratchett and Neil Gaiman.Music "Professor Umlaut" Kevin MacLeod ( Licensed under Creative Commons: By Attribution 3.0 License
Lex Luthor & Squirrel Girl
Let’s Get Nuts! No, it’s not an amazing team up of DC villain and Marvel hero. It’s a new episode of The Spoilers with Diacre. Daryl has caught up on the latest episodes of Supergirl and wants to discuss Lex Luthor, as played by Jon Cryer. Also, a different podcast has turned him on the The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl and he has a review for you. Let’s get nuts. The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl Vol. 1: Squirrel Power (The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl (2015)) The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl Vol. 2: Squirrel You Know It's True (The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl (2015)) The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl Vol. 3: Squirrel, You Really Got Me Now The Unbeatable Squirrel Girl Vol. 4: I Kissed a Squirrel and I Liked It Music "Professor Umlaut" Kevin MacLeod ( Licensed under Creative Commons: By Attribution 3.0 License
Expanding the Spoilerverse
Wayne and I were feeling as if the podcast was not really an expression of who we really are. We decided that our phrase "we talk about what excites us, and what annoys us, without holding back," is a lot larger than what we have been doing. So, we let loose the floodgates and start going without any clue where we'll end up. We end up talking about twitch streaming, Titan Games, and a long segment about comics. So much more than Marvel vs. DC. But what is great about Marvel and where are they going. Music:"Professor Umlaut" Kevin MacLeod ( under Creative Commons: By Attribution 3.0 License
Spoiling a Mysterio(us) Trailer - Episode #60
We moved away from our normal talk about blockbusters this week, as we started the episode discussing “The Wife” starring Glenn Close. It was a tense drama with no special effects, other than Ms. Close’s acting ability. Also outside the blockbusting movies is the YouTube re-release of “The Legend of Neil” Series. A man gets sucked into the Legend of Zelda while playing the game and with himself. You should watch it if you like stupid, crude humor. Not completely leaving big, budget movies behind Wayne and Daryl wrapped up the episode talking about the trailer for “Spiderman: Far From Home.” They had favorite parts. And, Wayne educated us all on the character Mysterio. Amazing Spider-Man (1963-1998) #13 By Stan Lee Spider-Man: Homecoming Starring Robert Downey Jr., Michael Keaton, Marisa Tomei, Donald Glover, Jon Favreau Spider-Man: Into The Spider-Verse Starring Liev Schreiber, Jake M. Johnson, Lily Tomlin, Zoë Kravitz, Nicolas Cage Music:"Professor Umlaut" Kevin MacLeod ( under Creative Commons: By Attribution 3.0 License
It’s a bird! It’s a plane! It’s Brightburn! Or maybe it’s Flash! Actually it is both. I may not like them, but a friend invited me to a horror movie. How could I say no? I didn’t. So, what did I think? I don’t normally like horror. Did I like this? I finally got caught up to the end of Flash Season 5. I discuss how I felt about the wrap up to the season. How I felt about the whole season arc. And the 3 big bads that were in it.
MZiB: Musical Zombies in Black
My last episode until the end of July features 4 movies split into 2 sections. The first section is about 2 musical movies.AladdinRocketmanThe other 2 movies don’t really have much overlap, other than perhaps comedy. They were:The Dead Don’t DieMen In Black: InternationalAladdin and Rocketman were watched in the same night. I had lots to compare and contrast. The Dead Don’t Die was a movie I went to with a Patreon patron. That’s not even a perk, he just invited me to go. Finally, MIB:International was my father’s day treat. I hope you get as much treat out of this episode as I did watching the movies ;)
SpoilerDiacre: Far From Home
Daryl was on vacation but that didn't stop him from watching movies and shows. 5 movies were watched on an airplane:Bohemian RhapsodyRobin HoodThe UpsideIsn’t It RomanticCrazy Rich AsiansStranger Things 3 was watched mostly on a laptop in hotel rooms. But the movie from which this episode gets its name, Spiderman: Far From Home, was watched in a theater in London.
