I have always loved Beyond the Dark from Mark R. Healy and this show is equally amazing. I especially love season two and hope this show has a lot more episodes coming
HELL YEAH.A beautiful blend of cyberpunk, action-thriller, sci-fi and just a pinch of noir. This. Is. How. Audio. Dramas. Should. Be. Done.
oh my god, what a production! Immediately you can understand what this universe is like due to great sound designing and acting. The storytelling is flawless as well, as the plot seamlessly switches between a narrative dialogue to an ensemble cast. I see high hopes for Rust and his search for his family and I’m excited to see where it goes next!
Good story and premise. Dat kid’s voice, tho.
This is another great podcast, it's best if you binge listen to it though, as there's lots of details.
Great universe with interesting characters. A must listen.
This is a top notch audio drama. Great stories, acting, sound design.... the works. A brilliant Sci Fi dystopian future story which is evokes memories of Battle Angel Alita and other cyber punk influences but does not get bogged down by them. It tells its several stories using them as a foundation and palette. Wonderful work. I'm up to season 5 so far and looking forward to the rest
Superb sci-fi production, puts you right there in the Strata with Rust a black market courier. Check out Beyond the Darkness also from Mark R Healy, equally as good.
The Strata Story is so well written and exciting !I love all the seasons.Even the last one , which is not yet completed👍
It's safe to say, this show is fantastically produced. That seems to be the first thing out of everyone's mouths when they recommend or mention The Strata. There are definitely elements in the show, that harken back to "We're Alive" in the way that it's expertly crafted with precision. Sound Production, and pacing aside, I think this shows biggest achievement is the emotional connection it fosters with the characters. It's easy to write a bunch of dialogue but it's another thing entirely to have me rooting for Rust without reservation.
Absolutely brilliant, (kid's voice is w bit too cutesy). Won't stop me from listening at all. Background sounds are so immersive. This is the way a podcast fiction should be.I'm hooked...👏
The size and scope of this story is impressive, especially considering that it is written, directed, sound designed and scored all by one guy. He seems to do everything except the actual acting, even the character art, and he produces the show largely at his own expense. The most recent 'season' was his longest and most ambitious yet and, seeking to satisfy character arcs and plot threads going all the way back to season 1. I'm just in awe of how he pulled this off as well as he did.
Brilliant show, setting and backstory. Excellent sound effects and voice acting. 👍⭐
