I am extremely excited to bring you this interview with Toby about he got started with hosting LAN parties back in the late 90's! It was these parties that sparked my interested in hosting and organizing events myself as well as help laid the foundation for what was to come in the future, The GXL.

LAN parties are events where everyone brings their own computer to one place, connects them up to a network and plays competitive games against each other. The environment is where I spent most of my geek life growing up and even to this day I put on my own events!

GXL is the brain child of many people coming together, dreaming bigger and putting on events with over 500 people involved! I am very proud to say that I was apart of that history and wouldn't have it any other way!
