She is a passionate educator, a gracious public servant and committed to community service. Shallegra is a member of White Lily Baptist Church and is a Councilwoman for the Borough of McKees Rocks, Pa. Shallegra has over 20 years of successful managed care experience, where her roles included dedicated client and customer services, training, process improvement and physician education. Several years ago, Shallegra said yes to God and became founder and Executive Director of Brilliantly Blessed Community Health and Wellness. Through her organization, Shallegra provides relief to students, advocacy for families and capacity building for educators. Shallegra enjoys Dateline, documentaries and is well-read. When she’s not doing those things, she enjoys spending time with loved ones. Shallegra also enjoys supporting, learning from and fellowshipping with other women. Shallegra is committed to lifelong learning and is currently pursuing an Education Doctorate in Urban Education at the University of Pittsburgh. Shallegra earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication for Social Justice from Carlow University and holds a Master’s in Public Health.
