What a self-assured debut. This certainly has the superhero genre trappings to pull in any listener but it's the dynamic of a volatile but intelligent mother figure trying to hold on to her brood of precocious youngsters, in a van road trip that never ends, that shines in this show. Whoever's writing this has got some mad observation skills because the comparison that comes to mind is Richard Linklater.

This show has been an instant all time favorite with some of the most beautifully poetic writing & characters you'll ever listen to !! it's a comfort listen & a sad listen all at the same time, & I couldn't love it more if I tried... subscribe now !!

The Van is one of the most beautiful shows I have ever listened to. Every episode made my heart ache. It's a gorgeous distillation of emotion, poetry, and brilliant storytelling.
