Jeff Brown
Jeff Brown – Podcaster, Mentor and Speaker. I was joined this week by the brilliant Jeff Brown from Nashville, Tennessee; broadcaster, podcaster and mentor. Jeff was a radio presenter for over 26 years and even co-hosted an award-winning and nationally syndicated morning show from 2002 to 2008. Now though, he concentrates his time and efforts in to producing a weekly podcast called “Read to Lead“. On the show, he interviews inspiring business book authors. They dive into their latest book and their unique insights on Leadership, Personal Development, Productivity, Business, Career, Marketing and Entrepreneurship. On the show, Jeff talks about the techniques he uses to calm his nerves right before giving a public talk and the preparation he puts in beforehand; some really useful tips that I am going to try myself. He also tells us about his favourite books, his dogs Fritz & Frank and how he got to where he is today… enjoy! Find out a bit more about Jeff on his website here and if you’re interested in Jeff’s course (Podcaster Academy) all about how to become better at interviews, then Click Here and watch Jeff’s video… (p.s. see if you can spot one of Jeff’s dogs in the bottom right hand corner of the video!)   The post Jeff Brown appeared first on Making Social Media Work.
Kevin Field
Kevin Field – Radio Skills for Podcasters On this week’s show, I was joined by Kevin Field, Radio Presenter and Podcast Trainer. Kevin and I met at a conference way back in 2014 and it now turns out that he lives in the town where I was born; small world eh? Kevin has taken his years of radio skills and turned that in to a business helping new podcasters get better at what they do. Starting a podcast really isn’t that difficult, but editing it, recording it and presenting it can be a little more tricky. So, Kevin spotted this gap in the market and stated Radio Skills for Podcasters. Kevin also helps run Radio Wanno, which is a radio station based in HMP Wandsworth, the largest prison in Western Europe. Kevin tells us about some of his earliest radio memories and the various radio stations he’s worked at along the way, a really fascinating journey. You can read Kevin’s own website here and also follow him on Twitter here too. The post Kevin Field appeared first on Making Social Media Work.
Jared Easley
Jared Easley – Podcaster, Public Speaker & Founder of Podcast Movement. Jared Easley It’s time to take our first trip (first of many hopefully) across the pond and to catch up with Jared Easley. Jared is a Podcaster and co-founder of the world’s largest podcasters conference – Podcast Movement. His podcast, Starve the Doubts, has been going for over 3 years now and on it, Jared talks to people about how they overcome things like the ‘Impostor Syndrome’ and find the confidence to do something that is right out of their comfort zone. He actually interviewed me to be on Starve the Doubts, straight after we recorded this podcast. Jared has been described as the Zig Ziglar of the podcasting world. He’s not only generous with his praise and his time but he goes out of his way to help people; still a rare trait these days. If you want to find out a little bit more about Jared, you can connect with Jared on Twitter and see what he is getting up to. You can also register for Podcast Movement 2017 in California. I fully intend to be there, all I need to do is find the finances to pay for the trip. Don’t get me wrong, the conference is a bargain, the flights unfortunately, aren’t!
