There is a difference between meditation and prayer. 

Centering prayer or Silent prayer is a form of meditation. It's an opportunity to continuously center your mind and clear the clutter and noise so you can hear what God is saying to you.

Often Journaling after your 15 minutes of Silence will help you understand themes that stand out and what repeats you can understand what you should be doing. It's the opportunity to let go of who you are not.
