Happy Earth Day! To celebrate, we’re paying homage to our beautiful Mother Earth in this episode of Toyota Untold.

A lot of people first learned that Toyota is an environmental leader when we created the OG hybrid vehicle, the Prius – but Toyota’s environmental efforts go far beyond that. In 1992, the Guiding Principles at Toyota were created, and with it, the Toyota Earth Charter. This framework established guidelines for corporate action that included development of vehicles with minimum emission and production activity with minimum waste and cooperative efforts as a member of society.

So we like to focus on being environmentally sustainable in everything that we do, and we have for a long time. To share more about what Toyota is doing to improve the environment and combat global warming – and what each of us can do, too – we're talking to Kevin Butt, Toyota's General Manager of Environmental Sustainability.
