Filmmakers Jeremy Tiecher and Alexi Pappas have put together one of the most comprehensive and dramatic views of an athlete today with their film Tracktown (releasing on iTunes May 12th). Alexi not only plays the main character in the film — Plumb Marigold — but she plays the role in real life as a professional runner that qualified for the Olympics in 2016. As if that wasn’t enough, the two are engaged to be married. In Transmissions Episode Five we sat down with Alexi and Jeremy, right next to historic Hayward Field in Eugene, Oregon, to talk with them about their experiences melding running, filmmaking and professional athletes into their feature film — Tracktown.
