He is the author of two books, The first one: “Soul Food” was released in 2014 for which he won the James Beard foundation book award for reference and scholarship, and the second book is called: The President ‘s Kitchen Cabinet, which was nominated for a 2018 NAACP IMAGE AWARD FOR OUTSTANDING LITERARY WORK-NON FICTION, also served as a special assistant in the Clinton administration and deputy director of the Presidents Initiative for One America.
