We're discussing Star Wars The Bad Batch Episode 7 "Battle Scars" as the team meet up with an old friend and travel to the planet Bracca.

The Bad Batch Episode 7 "Battle Scars" Synopsis

Series Created by:  Jennifer Corbett, Dave Filoni

Episode Written by: Jennifer Corbett

Story Editor: Matt Michnovetz

Episode Directed By: Saul Ruiz

When they return from another suspicious mission for Sid, The Bad Batch question her motivation. But while Sid is driven by money, she lets the team know how lucky they are that they remain hidden from The Empire and get paid work from her.

Meanwhile, former Republic Clone Captain Rex has tracked down the Bad Batch with the help of the Martez sisters who worked with the team on their previous mission.

When Rex learns from Hunter that they all still have their inhibitor chips installed, he gets spooked and leads them to the Junkyard planet of Bracca to get their chips removed. On their way to rendezvous with Rex on Bacca, Tech develops a sensor to locate the chips for removal. Avoiding the Scavenger Guild scouts they make their way to an old Venator-class starship, but before Tech can remove Wrecker’s chip, it activates, leading Wrecker to believe the whole team are traitors. Even with Omega's pleas Wrecker can't be tamed. With great difficulty the Bad Batch and Rex finally subdue the single minded squad member and remove his inhibitor chip followed by their own.

With the inhibitor chips now removed, Captain Rex offers them a chance to work with him and the remnants of the Republic. Hunter is intrigued but with their new responsibilities protecting Omega he declines the offer.

Rex leaves the Bad Batch behind as Hunter offers their services if Rex ever needs them. But as the now chip-less team begin to depart Bracca, little do they know that they are being watched by the Scavenger Guild!
