Dionté has just graduated from the University of Arizona this past semester and has been a good friend of Alex's since 7th grade. He brought over some wine and started us off by talking about some of his favorite wines. We transition into talking about video games, then the little we know about investing, and how companies are eavesdropping on us to sell our information to advertisers who are trying to sell back to us curated products based off of the data we freely provide to them by agreeing to their terms and conditions. The bulk of this episode is centered around what it's like for Dionté to be a black man in America. He shares with us his personal stories and what he has learned from it all. We talk about the current issues regarding George Floyd, the Black Lives Matter movement, and more but we dive deeper into the history of racism. We talk about the assassinations of Martin Luther King Jr. and John Crawford, which we draw comparisons to the infamous story of Emmett Till. We also mention what we think may be the origins of racism. And as always, we finish it off with a beer review, Cigar City Brewing's Guayabera Citra Pale Ale.
