A simple concept - providing answers to questions even the internet hasn't solved. Yet the rabbit holes that our dogged, curious hosts journey down ensure Underunderstood is more then an answer delivery service. The hosts - Billy Disney, Adrianne Jeffries, Regina Dellea and John Lagomarsino - have infectious chemistry and part of the fun of this show is three of them trying to comprehend the mystery the fourth has brought to the table. They have each suggested and investigated different stories and bring different elements and angles to the series. The show is completely honest with itself and it's audience - sometimes they simply hit a dead end and we, as listeners, have built enough faith in the hosts that we sympathise with their efforts rather than feeling let down. In fact, sometimes the unanswered elements are the most fascinating to listen to as we retain a sense of intrigue. Yet there are multiple occasions where the team do manage to wade through countless stands and overcome numbers of obstacles to find a solution or revelation that seemed impossible. Some of the best episodes, in my opinion, are: The 9/11 Hoax That Wasn't; What Happened to the McFlurry; The One About the Masked Singer; Jeff Goldblum's Secret Tattoo; Chief Laugh Officer and I Want My MTV Dial Position Sticker.
