UNSEE THE FUTURE: HOW TO ENCOURAGE THE MORE HOPEFUL HUMAN TOMORROW.
Episode 30: Experience, part 2
The bloke from Momo:tempo, music maker and creative Timo Peach is back – to continue his journey of exploring his creative futurism project with a personal, idiosyncratic podcast and blog, asking: Do you sometimes wish you could unsee the future? Is it time to close our eyes for a moment, and begin the process of trying to come to our senses?
In the sudden pandemic era, the whole planet is sharing an experience, and the story we all thought we were in has changed overnight. In this second half of our look at the subject, Mr Peach wonders what the ordinary experience of daily live is already like in ways we're not used to admitting more, and with so many enhanced experiences promised through technology, are the upgrading delivery systems of tech bringing more with them than we have asked enough questions about already. But in the Hopey-Changey Bit, Momo concludes that we have interesting tools to hand already to help us do that most vital of thing for the human planet in crisis – create new ways of seeing. And we are already receptive to it.
