This is one of my favorite podcasts! I love all things history and really enjoy Ann's take on each person she researches. It is nice that it is relaxed and not stiff, Ann makes it so much more enjoyable to listen to history by taking her approach. Ah also, you do not talk too fast ;-) Can't wait for the next podcast!!!!Thanks Ann xx

One of my favs that I can't get enough of. The first season was slow, but the second season and on is amazing! If you like scandalous history, you'll live this podcast.

I love the content but if she says "basically" one more time!!!

Listening from New Zealand, with an ice coffee in the morning or a G&T in the evening. Thank you Ann for providing some fun history with a feminist view, which show cases that whats written in the books and what's taught at school isnt always the truth. I really enjoyed the Katherine Grey story and loved hearing her side to the story of the 9 day Queen.

Great content, solid research, questionable presentation? Ann's style is very relaxed and casual but sometimes sounds uncomfortable, as if she is less than confident in her information. A tad reminiscent of high school presentations when you've accidentally jumbled up your note cards and have to try to recall facts that you only just glanced over.

Love, love, love this podcast! Ann is both knowledgeable and hilarious, listening to her feels like hanging out with a girlfriend catching up on the hot goss (...but like, from several hundred years ago). Each season keeps getting better, definitely give it a listen!

As an avid lover of history, I would highly recommend this podcast. Ann's wit and insight makes these women's stories really come to life. She finds her stride by season two and it's easy to binge these episodes. Curl up with your tea or listen while at work. But be warned, burst of laughter are inevitable. Well done Ann!

If I could remove the words 'basically' and 'like' I would have carried on listening but it became too much.

I found this podcast through a friend about 2 weeks ago, and haven't stopped listening to it. The history of these amazing women is presented in a really human way. Entertaining, clear, conversational and at the perfect pace!! I love it. Thank you Ann for telling us about the strongest women in history! (Laura, Cardiff, Wales, UK)
