Martinique is located southwest of Cuba and North of Trinidad and Tobago.

Culture is a mix of French and Caribbean influences.  Language spoken is French and creole which has elements of English, Spanish, Portuguese and African Languages.

National Dish is Grilled Snapper with Creole sauce.

Martinique is know for is beaches, mountain tropical gardens and fascinating history.

1. Did you know that Martinique is the 3rd biggest island of the lesser Antilles behind Trinidad and Guadeloupe?

2. Black Sand - Many of the beaches have black sands

3. Natural Park - 32 of the 34 towns are considered a Natural Park

4. Original Forest: Mangrove - Mangrove represents 6% of the island's forest area.  Called the Forest with is roots in the water.
