Web and BeyondCast, the Small Business Digital Marketing and Productivity Technology Show

Web and BeyondCast is a podcast show where we discuss and guide Small Business on the ins and outs of marketing and managing on the Web, Mobile, Social Media and beyond. Hosted by Digital Marketing Strategist and Google Small Business Advisor for Productivity Ray Sidney-Smith, the show covers all things related digital marketing and productivity, along with other technology (including the occasional reminder about cybersecurity), for Small Business. About Ray Sidney-Smith I thought it might be a good idea to tell you a little bit about myself since we’ll be spending so much time together. I’m a small business productivity technology and management consultant, owner of W3 Consulting (a training consultancy for small businesses learning about marketing and managing on the Web) as well as a director of our subsidiary W3C Web Services (https://web.w3cinc.com). Web Services provides managed WordPress hosting, VPS hosting, domain name registration, Microsoft 365 and Google Workspace licenses, and more. Also, I’m the author of "SoLoMo Success: Social, Local & Mobile Small Business Marketing Strategy Explained," published in 2014 and should have the 2nd edition (under a new title) out in the very near future. Let’s see what else would you like to know about me... I am the Google Small Business Advisor for Productivity so I’m happy to explain to small businesses the power and veracity of using Google products to be able to run their entire business this includes Google Workspace ( http://getgooglework.space - formerly G Suite which was formerly known as Google Apps for Work), which encompasses many products and extends to third-party partners and services that can be used within the Google ecosystem. Finally, I’m an Evernote Certified Consultant and Evernote Regional Leader for North America. (Evernote is a powerful note-taking software. It’s the backbone of my personal and business productivity.) As you might be able to tell, I’m a huge productivity nerd. So if you’d like to learn more about my productivity, you can always jump out to my personal "omnifeed" at https://twominuterule.com. All Show Notes will be available with links to items we’ll cover here in the podcast, along with a text transcript so you can read and search the contents of the shows. Each episode is numbered (so this episode is 001 as its the first episode) and you can find it by going to webandbeyondcast.com forward-slash and the number of the episode. What’s Web and BeyondCast all about? Web and BeyondCast is an exploration of how to strategically, economically and effectively market and manage as a Small Business in spite of the changing nature of technology. You’re not a big business with an IT department, a marketing department, a legal department and so on. You need to be nimble and flexible and judicious with your time, money and other resources. We will be covering a wide variety of topics that are important to Small Business Management… and because so much of small business is marketing, it will have a slight bent toward that area of your business. However I do want to cover topics as varied as human resources and legal and regulatory issues, taxes and finances and many other topics that are important to small business owners with guest experts. Getting in Touch! So that’s what you can expect from Web and BeyondCast and I again want to invite you to visit WebandBeyondCast.com and comment on any episode page if you have questions about a specific topic. I also host a weekly livestream show, Web and Beyond Live (https://webandbeyondlive.com), which is more timely, news-focused discussion about digital marketing for Small Business. Starting a small business is a journey and starting this podcast is a journey for me as well. I’m looking forward to join you on your journey to sma...
