I weirdly am obsessed with this podcast! At first glance, it's a casual conversation, but then...boom! The distraction, the story, the mystery, the crime, the whatever they are talking about sets in... I absolutely LOVE this show! A must-listen!

This show covers weird events from around the world from the Men in Black to haunted mansions stopping along the way at Walt Disney. I love the variety.One host presents the case of the day to the other, with the co-host jumping in as required, becoming the voice of the listener. Both hosts are very likeable and you can feel the relationship between the hosts too. This makes the show an easy listen as they bounce off of each other. I really enjoy it when the hosts make each other laugh. If the host is having fun, the listener is having fun. I also like the hosts putting their own views around the events across.Overall, an enjoyable and interesting show. If you’ve stumbled across it, give this a try!

Christie and Alex give me the best distractions every week and the topics they cover are always interesting, even if it's something I've heard before. Their banter, hilarious commentary and great research make this a delightfully distracting listen. Do yourself a favor and get a little weird with this podcast.

I listened to the Yuba County five episode. I have listened to several other pods cover this topic....and this was the best. The host has a nice voice and does a heck of alot of research. If you like TC and all things creepy, then I highly recommend Weird Distractions.

Alex & Christie really means it when they say "need a distraction? we got you." The chemistry is (Au)some and their topics are straight up gold. From conspiracy theories to downright weird, you'll have plenty to choose from their catalog. The banter and the commentary are well timed, and you learn plenty along the way. Would definitely recommend to anyone!

First off, I love the chemistry that Alex and Christie (SP?) have. The ladies do an excellent job of telling you about truly weird happenings from the past in a way that's light-hearted without being irreverent. They also do their research thoroughly it seems. Every episode I'm left going, "Well, there's something I didn't know I needed to know." I see big things in the future for them.

I gave it 5 stars. It's up to you to go listen and see why. Now go.

Completely hooked! I absolutely love this podcast! I'd listened to it a while back, then set it aside for some reason. Now, I'm back and can't stop binging!Alex kills me every time she impersonates a character in her story and narrates their ridiculous thought processes. Plus, they bring so many stories I've never heard before, which keeps me completely engaged in what they're saying.This has quickly become one of my favorite shows. It's a must listen!

I absolutely love Weird Distractions. They cover true crime which is my go to genre, but they also sprinkle in conspiracies and the paranormal, which is a nice break to all the true crime I absorb.
