Short, digestable creepy stories told by a master storyteller who has a voice as smooth as butter? Yes, please. I've been looking for a long time for a show that would take the place of other declining horror pods and I think I've found it! Fantastic show, great stories!
WE'RE NOT MEANT TO KNOWThank you so much for the kind words!
Love this show!! Would totally recommend it to anyone who enjoys horror anthologies!! Each story is well written and the narration is awesome, I find myself drawn in every time!! Good quality and just overall a really enjoyable listen. Looking forward to more!
WE'RE NOT MEANT TO KNOW is a very immersive podcast. The narrator voice is just on point, and a bit hypnotic. It's an anthology, so stories are not linked by an overaching plot. The stories are very well written : i don't think there's any episode that i found lacking or a bit boring.I totally recommend it, if you like mistery and horror.
These narrated scary stories shine because of smart production and exceptional voice work. Rather than rely on shock and lurid subject matter, most of these stories build a slow-burn creepy mood that draws the listener in. The tales unfold with excellent pace backed by subtle, atmospheric music. The simplicity of its production is its strength.
Wonderfully unsettling horror stories that take turn after unexpected turn. The narration is spot-on and the music/fx do a lot to complement the eerie vibe. The lack of intro and outro works really well--I love being able to listen to several episodes seamlessly, and they're gripping enough that I want to.
A really interesting addition to the horror anthology scene. It's got a flavor akin to 'Scary Stories to Tell in the Dark.' Spooky, but not nightmare-inducing. And since it's night by night you dont have to worry about keeping up with an arc. I'm really enjoying it.
Amazing pocket episodes that fill you with a sense of unsettling horror in a slow burn situation. Sometimes I know where the story will go, other times I'm shocked but each story holds itself against the others. A great creepy podcast!
