The Monroe County Tax Assessor Judith Sharp warned Monroe County Commissioners this morning that stalling by corporate box chains is tying up Indiana tax assessors in challenges, hoping to force them to undercut the tax collections for their retail properties. Sharp told Commissioners her office has already dealt with years of challenges in Indiana Tax Review Board in Indianapolis. She says the corporate chains have pushed their challenges to the state tax review board, in an attempt to wear down her office.
