Samantha Skey is CEO of SHE Media, a lifestyle media company an audience of over 100M per month (comScore February 2022). In addition to the company’s owned and operated brands: SheKnows, STYLECASTER, BlogHer, Soaps, and HelloFlo, SHE Media operates the SHE Media Collective, a network of over 2,000 independent publishers. SHE Media was acquired by Penske Media Corporation in March, 2018.

Samantha launched SHE Media’s social mission of advancing opportunity for women and girls when she joined the company in 2013. Through the SHE Media Collective (formerly SHE Media Partner Network) helps women and minority-led businesses to scale both their profits and their social impact.

Samantha began her career in digital technology and media over 25 years ago at Interactive Imaginations, a gaming start-up that went public in 1998. She held management roles with CNET, Disney, Alloy Inc.  Prior to joining SHE Media, Samantha was Chief Revenue and Marketing Officer for clean tech innovator, RecycleBank.

Over the past five years, she has received the “Raven Award” from the Bronx Academy of Letters; the “Leadership Award” from The Sister Accord; a “Corporate Visionary Award” from Folio Magazine; and a “Hall of Femme Award” from DM News. She was named a “Woman to Watch” by AdAge and a “Top 30 Women in Mobile Marketing” by Business Insider for two consecutive years.

Samantha holds a BA in comparative literature from Hamilton College where she now serves as chair for the Hamilton Career Network.
