Hey friends, welcome to What’s Your Story podcast. This week I sit down with illustrator Lisa Hanawalt.

When I sat down with Lisa in August, she had just wrapped animating the new Netflix original series BoJack Horseman. A sitcom about a washed up horse living in LA off his run as a 90’s sitcom star. It’s a star studded cast with Will Arnett, Amy Sedaris, Aaron Paul, and may others (including my all time fave Patton Oswalt - who does an incredible job as an indignant navy seal, who is an actual seal…)

I’ve known Lisa casually from her work online when I blogged about art, and I have always loved her no holds barred approach around the topics she writes and draws about. She is unabashedly real and very, very funny.

Per usual on the podcast we cover a variety of topics. Lisa and I chat about when your art becomes your actual job and how to deal with issues that arise there, anxiety, dogs and not having kids, and continuing to make work in the kakoffony of the churn we all exist in every day online.
