After meeting and having the honor to speak with so many respected and insanely knowledgable people in the "whistleblower realm", I always wondered what it would be like to sit down with more than one expert and just candidly discuss the topic we all know so well from three different viewpoints, just to see where we all stand on certain topics. I was able to do just that with two heroes, Richard Condit and Tom Mueller. It's easy to see how passionate we all are about this topic, and the surprise insights listeners wont get anywhere else. Part 1 of 2 part series.
Richard Condit is a partner at the prestigious Law Firm, Mehri & Skalet PLLC in Washington DC. He heads the firm’s Whistleblower Law Practice and has over 25 years of  vast and successful experience fighting for and working with whistleblowers from almost every different industry, covering such problems as nuclear safety, environmental protection, bank fraud, food safety, mortgage fraud, securities, law or regulatory violations, public transit safety, and many others. Mr. Condit worked at the Government Accountability Project (GAP) before joining the firm, helping to develop the organization’s environmental whistleblower and citizen enforcement programs, before leading GAP’s in-house litigation of whistleblower and open government cases. Mr. Condit also spent more than five years as Counsel to the Chemical Weapons Working Group (CWWG), which led an international effort to require the U.S. Army to safely dispose of stockpiled chemical warfare agents. A licensed attorney in the District of Columbia, Mr. Condit is also admitted to practice before the U.S. Supreme Court, U.S. District Courts for the District of Columbia, District of Colorado, and Southern District of Indiana, and regularly practices before the U.S. Department of Labor, presenting whistleblower cases to the U.S. Office of Special Counsel and U.S. Merit Systems Protection Board. He has also been permitted to practice pro hac vice before other federal and state courts and agencies.

Tom Mueller is a free-lance writer and noted journalist, educated at Oxford (DPhil, Rhodes Scholar), Harvard (BA, summa cum laude), and Alief Hastings High School in rural east Texas. Tom has lived or worked in 48 countries, gaining a wide array of professional insight & knowledge. His diverse experiences include studying classical guitar in Seville, Spain with América Martínez, a disciple of Andrés Segovia, and working as an associate in M&A at Goldman Sachs, in their London and Frankfurt offices.  After almost seven years of research and writing, his most recent book, Crisis of Conscience, is a cultural history of whistleblowing shown through a series of riveting cases. Drawing on in-depth interviews with more than two hundred whistleblowers and the trailblazing lawyers who arm them for battle--(plus politicians, intelligence analysts, government watchdogs, cognitive scientists, and other experts)--Mueller anatomizes what inspires some to speak out while the rest of us become complicit in our silence. His previous book, Extra Virginity, is a New York Times best-selling account of olive oil culture, history, and crime, and his articles have appeared in the New Yorker, National Geographic Magazine, New York Times Magazine, Atlantic Monthly, among many others.
