Allen Halas of Breaking & Entering 

Allen Halas is a music writer and founder of Breaking And Entering. A former music producer in high school, Halas made beats for Milwaukee artists before transitioning to focus on Breaking And Entering full-time in college. In addition to the website, he is also a staff writer for Shepherd Express in Milwaukee and an entrepreneur. 

Breaking And Entering was founded in 2009 as a podcast, which would later become a college radio show at Marquette University, then ultimately a daily music website in 2014. Since then, the site has grown to become your guide to Milwaukee's music scene and beyond, covering everything from local shows to festivals like Lollapalooza and South By Southwest. The website now also encompasses a podcast, Twitch stream, and weekly radio show, as part of the next phase of the company.
