Wisdom-Trek / Creating a LegacyWelcome to Day 405 of our Wisdom-Trek, and thank you for joining me.This is Guthrie Chamberlain, Your Guide to WisdomDon't Be Ignorant - Wisdom UnpluggedThank you for joining us for our 5 days per week, wisdom and legacy building podcast. This is day 405 of our trek, and it is Tuesday and time for our 2-3 minute mini-trek called Wisdom Unplugged. This short nugget of wisdom includes an inspirational quote with a little additional content for today’s trek. Consider this your vitamin supplement of wisdom each Tuesday & Thursday. So, let’s jump right in with today’s nugget.Today’s quote is a Chinese Proverb which says, "A wise man makes his own decisions, an ignorant man follows public opinion."In our politically correct world, and especially in the midst of the election cycle within the United States, it is very evident that most politicians must lack wisdom and according to this proverb would be considered ignorant. If you desire to be wise, you must know, understand, and hold to your set of core values. A person who is wise is a person of integrity. Integrity is the quality of being honest, having strong moral principles, and possessing moral uprightness. In fact, in the letter that Jesus’s half-brother James wrote, he explains the double-minded, ignorant man quite well, "If you need wisdom, ask our generous God, and he will give it to you. He will not rebuke you for asking. But when you ask him, be sure that your faith is in God alone. Do not waver, for a person with divided loyalty is as unsettled as a wave of the sea that is blown and tossed by the wind." This certainly sounds like a person who is always following public opinion instead of standing on his or her integrity.Thank you for allowing me to be your guide, mentor, and most importantly your friend as I serve you through the Wisdom-Trek podcast and journal each day.As we take this trek of life together, let us always:Live Abundantly (Fully)Love UnconditionallyListen IntentionallyLearn ContinuouslyLend to others GenerouslyLead with IntegrityLeave a Living Legacy Each DayThis is Guthrie Chamberlain reminding you to Keep Moving Forward, Enjoy Your Journey, and Create a Great Day Every Day!
