What is life like for women who don the white coat? Are their lives like those on tv shows like Grey's Anatomy? Real lives, real female doctors and dentists, real stories. Have you read the book, The Chronicles of Women in White Coats, yet? Take a listen.

In this special episode, Drs. Virgil, Freehill, and Segura read excerpts from their chapters in the book, The Chronicles of Women in White Coats.

Dr. Bande Virgil is an author with publications and interviews on several well known websites including The Bump, Romper, and KevinMD. She recently was published as a co-author in “The Chronicles of Women in White Coats”. She also writes regularly on her own blog ‘The Mommy Doc’ where she shares the journey of motherhood and gives practical advice on children’s  health and parenting.

Dr. Angela Freehill (or Mrs. Brown at the grade school) is a woman of many hats. She is an orthopedic surgeon, a wife, a mother to three beautiful girls, a wine and cheese connoisseur, a co-author of “The Chronicles of Women in White Coats”, and a breast cancer survivor. She is passionate about writing and watching movies on the couch with a giant bucket of popcorn. She loves to travel and try new places and new foods.

Kendra Segura, MD, MPH, FACOG, is an obstetrician-gynecologist who is known as Dr. Kendra: Your Ob/Gyn Next Door®. She currently works at Kaiser Permanente in southern California. Dr. Segura’s unlimited passion for women’s health extends beyond the walls of the hospital, and she is always looking to reach out to women using any means possible.
