He thought that was funny because he didn’t really have much to show for it. He asked his wife for her social security number and saw that she had earned about the same amount. So together they had about $2 million in lifetime earnings but they were $380,000 in debt. The debt wasn’t crippling, nor was it largely personal debt - most of it was their mortgage. But Kyle felt embarrassed and angry and resolved to tackle their finances differently from that moment on. In 38 months the debt was gone and Kyle and his wife were able to focus on investing for their future. In This Conversation We Cover: -[4:21] Kyle’s blue-collar upbringing and the beliefs he learnt about money-[6:56] Choosing new influences to change those beliefs-[14:23] Cutting up credit cards-[20:37] Gamifying debt reduction-[21:55] Screaming ‘We’re debt free!’ on The Dave Ramsey Show-[26:51] Leaving the corporate world to become a high school teacher-[27:56] Taking two years off to be at home with his son-[28:52] Kyle’s mastermind for men to find success in every aspect of their lives-[32:03] His morning routineTo learn more, and for the complete show notes, visit: workhardplayhardpodcast.comWork Hard Play Hard is a production of Crate Media
Today’s Topic: Eating for health from the inside outKim and I have been guinea pigs for a lot of different diets. Right now I eat keto style and fast for 16 hours a day whereas Kim fasts for 24 hours once every week or two. In this episode we talk about the benefits of fasting (it’s great for gut health and losing body fat) plus Kim tells us her views on bacon - particularly the non-organic kind. We also cover Chalene Johnson’s cloud bread (so good!) and talk about the new products from Kim’s company that she’s absolutely obsessed with. One of them is a collagen bone broth with extra vitamin C. Kim’s been making bone broth once a week for years, and it’s such a pain in the ass to make. First you have source organic, non-GMO bones and then it’s two days of cooking and you have to strain it, which gets kind of messy. So Kim’s super happy about being able to buy quality bone broth. And, special offer! Whatever kind of diet you follow, Kim would love to create a personalized supplement protocol for you. You can email or DM her on Instagram.Resources:-Mastermind: workhardplayhardpodcast.com/mastermind-Connect with us on Instagram: @kimmurgatroyd | @robmurgatroyd-Email Kim: firstname.lastname@example.org-The Keto Guido Cookbook-drhyman.com-marksdailyapple.com-Instagram: @131method
