New episode of the podcast with Marcella Simien of Marcella and Her Lovers. Marcella and Her Lovers released their first EP, “The Bronze Age” in 2014 and they are gearing up to record their first full length record. Check out their IndieGoGo campaign at their website marcellaandherlovers.com. In this episode we get into Marcella’s history and musical background, and really go deep on what music means for her.

This episode was made with the help of Young Avenue Sound in Memphis, TN. I had the pleasure of being able to record a batch of episodes with Calvin Lauber, the head engineer here at Young Avenue Sound. As a musician, finding the right studio and engineer or producer for your project can be tough. Young Avenue is a versatile and creative space that can help you bring that next record to life. These guys are super accommodating to bands on a budget and I personally can’t wait to get back there to make some music.
