Imagine having a 3D chatbot as your new best friend.

While it is still easy enough to tell the difference between a real person and a virtual entity, ai chatbot technology is becoming more sophisticated.  People are now engaging  at a deeper level and making more personalized connections with these virtual lifeforms.

It could be likened to  having a pet, but in this case it is with a digital or virtual life form.    In this interview with AI and Strategic Marketing expert Dr Tania Peitzker we discuss what chatbots are and their uses. 

We explore their application as sales and marketing tools to create deeper and more personalized connections with customers and discuss the positive impacts they can have in society for example: providing information, support  and connection to a wide range of under- served members of our population. 

In the midst of the corona-virus pandemic we are seeing more widespread benefits of chatbot technology.   From using motion activated and touch free screens that can minimize the need for physical or person to person contact for information or retail transactions, to handling surges on our government agencies for things like pensions, emergency payments or even health-care processing. 

There are still many gaps when it comes to the rules and regulations around using this kind of technology and that's why discussions like this are so important.  I encourage all small business owners to get informed and educated.  When used the right way we can improve efficiency, deeper customer connection and bottom line results and also find wider benefits to society as a whole.
