Topic: Balance is Over-Rated

Note from Aimee J.: Do the best you can, because sometimes you won’t get the balance people talk about.

Action: Life is like a see-saw. There are times some things will take more over your time than others. The best you can do is to make sure you give time to everything that is a priority or of importance to you. Life is all about give and take. If you’re looking to please everyone, you’ll please no one. There will be times when you need to be at work late and you’ll miss on family activities. The reverse is true as well, there will be times you’ll have to take off from work in order to be there for your family. It will never be a complete balance. You have to find what works for you and the things that are important to you. Then communicate that to those affected parties so everyone is on the same page. People won’t know and in turn understand unless you tell them.
