This particular horror-centric podcast is somewhere between a living room and college library - equal parts cozy and academic, always feeling like you're among friends and peers who also happen to be fans of the genre. Richard and Angeles create a very warm and welcoming atmosphere, yet their deep dives are to die for and I highly recommend this show for those who want a horror film podcast that's a perfect blend of casual and professional.

Few podcasts can maintain energy, charm, entertaining tangents, and invaluable information, but The Gory Gays is a podcast which does so with ease, along with the bonus of an endless love of horror and cinematic underdogs. Cannot recommend this show enough.

I fear I'm still one of the few people who actually enjoys the black and white intercuts in this film, but this was nevertheless a superb episode covering a severely underrated horror film and coming of (r)age story. The discussion, breakdown of details, honesty, and love of this film was such a fun listen.
