RATING
The Rowdy Boys' hijinx and hilarity drew me in. The story and evolution of all the characters made me stay. Everyone really throws themselves into their characters, DM Andrew included, and they all play really well together and off each other. 10/10 will rowdy again.
I love true crime pods. I love no-bullshit hosts/hostesses with dry, sarcastic humor. Not only do both those things apply to Colored Red, but I also love the focus on Colorado. By narrowing the locations to a single state, Laura can deep-dive into cases to paint a picture of the history of the state as a whole, rather than painting a picture of the single crime/killer. I'm entertained and educated all at the same time.
I started listening because I was excited to find another Chicago-based, supernatural, actual-play podcast. I stayed because of the excellent storytelling by game keeper and players alike. Everyone's experience with improv is clear from the start as they embody the idea of showing over telling (which is difficult to do in a podcast). They're hilarious without drowning out or burying the plot, and they aren't afraid to let softer, more vulnerable moments shine. This podcast could get millions of listens every episode, and I would still think they deserve more. I'd give L&L 10 stars if I could.
