The Bright Sessions? More like the blight sessions. Shippen, to her credit, CAN get performances. And there's an ambition here that one usually does not associate with the doldrums of audio drama. Still, why am I cautious? Why do I feel as if I'm being played? This is ultimately why I can't go all in on The Bright Sessions. Because I really feel as if nobody cares about living. I really feel as if this project is an exercise in phony belief and phony empathy. Oh well!

This is what happens when you have no real insight into human behavior, but you DO have an ability to network. There is literally no reason for this crap audio drama to be so lauded. This is a garbage podcast. It gets so much about Boston wrong. And it gets so much about human behavior wrong.

Christ, what pathetic offerings. I thought these guys were funny under the Wynebago Warriorlabel. Well, it turns out that, when they turn the humor off, they really don't have any significant insights into what it is to be human. This is garbage audio drama unworthy of your time.
