Shontavia Johnson is an attorney and author. Her academic specialties include intellectual property law, trademark law, patent law, technology and innovation, entrepreneurship, internet law, business law, and social justice. Currently, she is the Associate Vice President for Academic Partnerships and Innovation at Clemson University, and a tenured faculty member in the Department of Sociology, Anthropology and Criminal Justice. She is also CEO of the law firm Johnson International Group.Johnson has appeared on CNN, Fortune, Fox News and NPR. Her work has appeared in law reviews including the Berkeley Technology Law Review and the Michigan Telecommunications and Technology Law Review.Previosly, Johson was the Chair in Intellectual Property Law and Director of the Intellectual Property Law Center at Drake University Law School.Shontavia received her B.S. in Biosystems Engineering from Clemson University, and her J.D. from the University of Arkansas School of Law. She served as a judicial extern to Judge Jimm Larry Hendren of the United States District Court for the Western District of Arkansas.
