Podchaser 25 – Top 25 Hottest Podcasts in Feb 2022

Last month Podchaser unveiled the Podchaser 25, the world’s first snapshot of the hottest, up-and-coming podcasts. This month, we’ve updated the Podchaser 25 with new features and of course February’s top 25 rising podcasts. Jump to February’s list.

What is Podchaser 25?

If you’re just joining us, the Podchaser 25 is a first-of-its-kind monthly ranking of the hottest, rising podcasts in the U.S. We look at podcasts released within the last 90 days to see which podcasts are spiking in popularity.

Podchaser 25 is made possible by Podchaser’s proprietary measurement of a podcast’s influence called Power Score™. We’ve synthesized 30 different metrics (including audience size, subscribers, cross platform presence, and more) to assign each podcast a Power Score between 1 and 100. Through our partnerships with top podcast apps, Power Score heavily factors in real listening data from millions of devices.

The unique thing about this ranking is that while most podcast charts are opt-in, Podchaser 25 tracks every podcast and thus reflects the whole podcasting ecosystem – from big budget shows to independent productions. 

Viewing each podcast’s Power Score™ in the Podchaser 25 helps brands, agencies, and publishers make more accurate business decisions when looking for podcast advertising, cross promotion, trend analysis, or content acquisition opportunities.

What’s New this Month?

Rank Changes

With our second edition of Podchaser 25, We’ve added the ability to see whether a podcast’s ranking has risen or fallen from the past month. Podcasts that are new to the Podchaser 25 won’t have an indicator for rank changes.

PDF Update

We’ve re-designed the Podchaser 25 PDF to prioritize the most important information.

• Publisher/Author data is more prominent
• Creator credits and categories link to their Podchaser pages
• Hosting providers added
• Styling updates to improve readability
• Updated messaging for clarity

How it works

The Podchaser 25 showcases the top 25 podcasts released in the past 90 days, ranked by how their reach and influence changes each month. For each podcast, you’ll find their respective rankings, rank changes, categories, descriptions, hosting provider, and Power Score from that month.
