After immigrating to the United Stated from the Dominican Republic more than 30 years ago, Alfa received her first break into the radio industry working for Mega Communications as an Executive Assistant and Voicing Commercials. In 2003, Alfa was recruited by La Mega Radio in Allentown (formerly known as La Ola Spanish Radio), to become the co-host of their morning show. In less than 3 years, Alfa would become the morning program’s producer and exclusive host. Her promotion within the company made Alfa the first and only Latina female on Spanish Radio in Pennsylvania to produce and host her own program in a top 100 market in the United States. Her top-rated morning show reached nearly 30,000 Lehigh Valley Latinos per week-more than any local Spanish media combined.
