Jaquira Díaz is a fiction writer, essayist, journalist, and cultural critic. Díaz's work has appeared in The Guardian, Conde Nast Traveler, and T: The New York Times Style Magazine. Her first book, "Ordinary Girls," was published in 2019. Her second book, "I Am Deliberate," was published in 2023. Díaz' has taught creative writing at the University of Wisconsin-Madison’s MFA program, at Old Dominion University’s MFA program, and at the Atlantic Center for the Arts. She has also been a Consulting Editor at The Kenyon Review.
