Award-winning author and journalist La Carmina runs the leading alternative culture and travel blog (www.lacarmina.com/blog), which won "Best Blog of the Year" from Auxiliary Magazine. Carmina is the author of three books (published with Random House and Penguin), is a TEDx speaker, and appears on travel TV shows worldwide (Bizarre Foods, No Reservations, Taboo, Oddities, Better Late than Never).
