NPFL CEO Tony Budding joins us for a candid conversation about the launch of the first professional coed team sport and how his new organization fits into the world of fitness performance that is currently dominated by CrossFit. Can they peacefully coexist? Which athletes outside the CrossFit world might perform best in this new league?During his 10 years as Executive Producer, CrossFit Games Co-Director, and Media Director with CrossFit HQ, Tony Budding came upon an idea that he felt was so good he just couldn’t shake it. After exiting CrossFit last fall, Tony set to making his idea a reality. A new fitness sport created with the spectators -- both live and on TV -- in mind. A sport where teams of athletes with diverse skills work together to try to win a match that’s only two hours long. A sport where the athletes are treated as assets and professionals. Tony shares the current state of the NPFL and plans for future expansion.
